This is a good time to begin dental work, seek credit, deal with banks, buy a new car, travel, join a health club or hunt for bargains.   August 30 Mercury Enters Libra Its easier to see both sides of any issue now, and to remain detached, impartial and objective. You are able to weigh the strengths and weaknesses in a matter and make judgments based on facts without letting your feelings get in the way. But because you can see the pros and cons of everything, however, you may have trouble making decisions or sticking with the ones you finally do make. This is a time when its easy to "go along with the crowd". This dispassionate and orderly influence highlights our ability to strategize, understand what our opponent is thinking, and as a result success is more than likely in whatever you are trying to accomplish. Its also a good time to be able to evaluate others talents without feeling threatened by people who are more gifted than you are, and it is an especially good time for organizing people so that they work together as a team.   Jupiter Retrograde: May 9 September 8, 2008  Immediately preceding a transiting Jupiter retrograde, society, organizations and individuals will have "gone too far" in their urges to expand and grow (i.e., the mortgage and oil crises in the U.S.A. as I write this). Their actions in this regard will have exceeded positive limits, and Jupiter retrograde means its time to step back. A transiting Jupiter retrograde is the time to grow internally and prepare yourself for opportunities that will be available after Jupiter goes direct. It is particularly important to develop more understanding and awareness during these periods, to determine whether whats being offered to you is what you really want.   Transiting Jupiter retrograde also brings into focus the need to balance extremes in your life. Remember, Jupiter is also the planet of generosity. When it goes retrograde, its energy may support you in completing an activity like going back to college to finish your degree that will bring you prosperity in the future. This is especially likely if you have personal Jupiter retrograde in your natal chart.
Pluto Retrograde: June 2 September 9, 2008 Pluto retrograde is a signal that its time to step back and review how each of us is either contributing to the future and evolution of mankind and Earth or working to destroy it. These are the periods when its important to become more conscious of how we impact Earth and others.   Already slow in its actions, Pluto in retrograde becomes even slo-o-o-wer so slow, in fact, that we feel stuck even to the point of hopelessness. This is because transiting Pluto retrograde wants us to go deep into ourselves and our experiences to make transformational, not superficial changes. But then all of a sudden Pluto throws open the door and completion erupts. Transiting Pluto retrograde is about letting go of those deep pains and issues that hold us back from personal growth. Whatever you let go will be replaced by new opportunity, new consciousness, new hope.   Pluto turns retrograde on June 2 at 0 degrees of Capricorn and returns all the way back to 28 degrees of Sagittarius where it turns direct, never to return again to Sagittarius in your lifetime.  To find out what areas of your life will be affected by transformational change, look at the area of your chart that contains 28 Sagittarius to 0 Capricorn, and also the houses that contain personal planets at 28 to 0 degrees of Capricorn, Libra, Aries, Gemini, Virgo and Sagittarius (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars).
Retrograde Uranus: June 23 November 27, 2008 Uranus is the planet of the unconscious and even when its retrograde, this is the area where its energies are concentrated. The difference during a retrograde is that the energy is even more pronounced.  Because Uranus is the "great awakener" it acts primarily on our unconscious. The desire to reform or rebel is even stronger than when Uranus is direct. This is a time to ask yourself what changes are occurring in the world and how youre contributing to or working against them. Its important to see the connections between your own personal changes and those that are occurring around the world.   Like other transiting retrogrades, Uranus instigates the processes of review and reevaluation. While the energy of Uranus provides an opportunity to explore how to break out of the box, retrograde Uranus provide an opportunity to explore how we as individuals fit into the scheme of things and teaches us patience in the process of change. A Uranus transit makes you see things in a new way. When you do, you can never go back to the old way of seeing things. Use the energy of transiting Uranus retrograde to plan for the major changes you want to make in your life.   Uranus begins its retrograde at 22 degrees of Pisces on June 23 and backtracks to 18 degrees where it turns direct on November 27th.  Look to the house in your chart where Uranus is making its transit to determine what areas of life will be activated with innovation, rebellion and unexpected change. Also, check the houses and any natal planets between 18 and 23 degrees of Pisces, Sagittarius or Gemini, especially the "personal planets" (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars) or sensitive chart angles (1st, 4th, 7th, 10th), as this retrograde period will bring about more turbulent and significant action.   Home
